The long awaited sequel to Edmund Clerihew Bentleys novel Trents Last Case, this sequel written in collaboration with H. Warner Allen.
Trents Own Case follows the artist and criminologist Philip Trent, as he solves the murder of a sadistic philanthropist.
The plot is full of twists and turns, in which two more are killed and an actress disappears before Trent solves the case.
Bentley is known for inventing the clerihew, and for his many humorous works. Trents Last Case, published in 1913, was subject to much praise when first published.
CONDITION
In the original publishers cloth binding, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, smart. Very light bumping to the head and tail of the spine. A few light spots to the fore edge. Dust wrapper is edge worn with some chips, including a larger chip to the tail of the spine. Some light marks and spots to the wraps, spine is a little discoloured. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with only a couple of light spots.
