This is a 9.5 inch creamy white ceramic bowl with pure silver overlay of parrots or macaws on tree branches. There are 9 tiny dragonflies on or near the rim.. There is one tiny bit of damage- the tendance body of one of the dragonflies on rim is missing. It is shown in the next to last photo.There is no other visible damage to the pottery or silver. The silver overlay is tarnished at present, but can be polished if desired. The rim of the bowl is 3.5 inches high. The bowl is decorated on the outside with undulating branches, in silver overlay. The inscription on the back, also in silver overlay, is "EMILIA CASTELLO / PLATA PURA / MEXICO 97 / MR 4" The raised silver design on the smooth silver makes it a pleasure to handle as well as to view.
