Circa 1871, AmericanWaltham, Model 1857, GradeP.S. Bartlett, 18s, key wind/ set full plate, gilt movement contained within a American Waltham "Private Label" Coin Silver Hunter Case Pocket Watch! Entire watch weighs 176 grams or 5.68 ounces!

Running gilt movement with serial # 572787. (see photos)

The signed, "American Watch Co." white baked glass enamel, single sunk dial has its hour, minute, and second hands. No visible chips, but has a couple of extremely thin hairlines under 10x loupe.. (see photos)

Beautiful, early, 3 ounce, Private Label, signed Am. Waltham Watch Co., "D.C. Jaccard & Co., Pure Coin, St. Louis, Mo." silver case # *J78 is adorned on front cover with a un-initialed shield cartouche with floral designs, while the back cover is plain. Frame exhibits early style hobnail pattern with rose gold hinges. All four covers (front, bezel, dust & back) open smoothly. Bail is loose. Case has scratches and wear commensurate with age.
