I've never seen another like it! A remarkable find. This textile is an antique middle to late 1800's petticoat that was made with indigo blue ( with a purple tint) linen that was treated with bees wax for repelling dirt! A fabulous hand smocked and trimmed with lace on the edge. The fabric is a light weight, linen cotton blend. hand worked, it's WONDERFUL ! I could get lost in the detail of this skirt. I just noticed this fabulous Zig Zag pattern on the closure side , a treat to find! This textile has a crisp hand ~ This textile is a work of art ~ ~*~ ( E150 )

MEASUREMENTS : This gorgeous Vintage French skirt measures :
28 inches long
28 inch waist


CONDITION : This lovely textile is in as found condition, with light storage dust. Beautiful condition. When held to the light, I can see a few tiny pin holes. The claps is rusted.
