The very scarce first edition of this work.

Illustrated with an engraved frontispiece. Collate, complete.

A wonderful collection of Romantic verse - largely concerned with Scotland - from Kilmarnock based carpet-weaver John Ramsey.

Poem titles include Written during the Commercial Distress of 1826, The Ghost and the Phrenologists and On visiting the Burns Monument.

With the inscription from Robert McWhir, Kilmarnock, to Janet D. Fraser to the head of the title page.


CONDITION

In the original cloth binding, with remnants of paper label to spine. Marks to boards. Bumping to spine head and tail. Internally, binding lightly strained. Inscription to head of title page. Light handling marks throughout, alongside the odd spot.
